"Beautiful old building with spacious rooms but ambience and decor are stunted by poor management and maintenance. The bed frame was too big for the mattress, leaving a 1/2 foot gap all round the bed in which the meagre pillows often got lost. The mattress was too big for the bed linen. Everything seemed to be falling into disrepair - window screens with gaping holes, paint peeling off the walls. Our first morning there, they ran out of eggs at breakfast! "Overall a great experience, the staff were extremely helpful and polite. First morning no fruit or yogurt at breakfast and second morning got our breakfasts completely wrong.
The room was really nice and the bed very comfortable, I would definitely stay again."

"Brilliant room, fantastically old and quirky building, and wonderful staff. We had an evening meal and was disappointed the restarurant was closed but ate in the bar instead and food was good.
The only downside is the hotel is not staffed overnight, so be extra careful not to leave anything in your room before 'checking out' as you will not be able to get back in, I stupidly left my car keys in the room and although there was nothing we could do on the day the hotel were super resposnsive in...
