Hotel Dekat Cinemark Century Monterey 13

"This is the second time we are staying at this hotel. The general environment is very nice and the in-room fire place is great. The only disappointment was that we asked the front desk if it’s possible to get a room on the second floor as our ground floor room is super dark and looks out to a concrete wall full of weeds. The receptionist said the only way for us to get a different room was for us to cancel the reservation with the third party (ie expedia) completely and make a new booking...

"Kind owners/keepers, overall clean property, just minor issues with left over tape on the wall from what I imagine decorations that were there previously, some dirt smudges on the paint around window and coffee maker did not work. Still fine for an overnight stay, quiet overall and safe location. Comfortable beds, but too high for little ones as there is hard floor and the beds are higher than normal. Good location."

"Nicely appointed hotel. Counter staff helpful and friendly. The outside pool was nice, but small, and had quite a few leaves floating around. We went in the evening, so maybe it is only cleaned/checked once a day."

"My daughter goes to CSUMB and this is the 2nd time staying here.. we’ve been in Monterey a lot and this is the only hotel (out of a lot) that I LOVE. This will be our hotel when i visit my daughter, and move her in every year."

"Great overnight spot! The fridge and microwave were very helpful to have. A coffee maker in the room would have been really nice. There was nowhere near early in the morning to get coffee. The room was updated and cute. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Recommended!"

"First night we had some guys doing donuts on the side road and burning rubber, and both nights kids running down the hallway and a couple arguing on the balcony."

"Staff- Check-in and checkout was quick and easy. Friendly staff although we couldn't get our rooms next to eachother everything worked out. Rooms- they were clean and good size. However, items inside were a little rundown. Given the priced I paid per night I was expecting a little more. Bed was comfortable. Door to fridge was loose. Top door latch was loose. Hot water to sink was extremely hot so becareful. Breakfast- it was good. Some sausages or bacon would had made it excellent. Didn't get...

"We could not use the couch that was in the room without paying extra for it. We were placed on the first floor and the people above us were so loud at night and you could hear every walk back and forth across the room. It made it so hard to sleep. The parking was horrible and every spot was too small to fit in. The vinyl floor in the room was all scratched up and the floor needed to be vacuumed. A rug or a clean front door mat would have helped."

"The room was clean and quiet. It had a lovely patio outside with a firepit. Parking right outside the room was large enough for my giant suv. About a 15 min walk to the fisherman's wharf. 10 min walk to the beach."

"Perfectly pleasant, clean rooms, restaurants and coffee shops within easy walking distance. For the price (by Monterey standards), it’s good. A bit of road noise. Was going to charge me an early check in fee but there wasn’t a room available. Should knock it off with that low-class nickel and diming."
