"We couldn’t use the TV system because the system is not “ random “ password acceptable and our phone doesn’t accept such a non- safe wifi system. We could not watch anything using the TV. You should tell guests when they check in. Otherwise, we don’t know what to do with it."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my two-night stay at the Stevenson Monterey. I was fortunate to have a quiet corner room on the third floor, which turned out to be the perfect place to relax after long days of exploring. The location was one of the biggest highlights. I didn't get in my car to drive somewhere at all during my stay. Alta Bakery, Ad Astra Bread Co., Trader Joe's, and several excellent restaurants were all within easy walking distance. "This is a nice hotel with great views (ocean view side). I took off 1 star due mainly to the breakfast being a little disappointing. The pastries were small and seemed like the plastic wrapped kind you might get at a convenience store, and overall the options were pretty limited."

"My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 5 day stay here. The hotel is in a perfect location in the middle of cannery row with just a short walk to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and several outstanding restaurants. The deck overlooking the bay with comfortable seating and fire pits was a favorite spot of ours. We saw sea otters and sea lions in the bay and found it difficult to leave to continue our trip. We are already planning to come back next June! Book it you will love the hotel!"

"Standard cookie cutter Munras Ave Monterey tourist trap. Large room, spartan/worn furnishings. Management customer service appalling, beyond atrocious. If I could give zero star this establishment merits zero stars. Do yourself a huge favor, stay elsewhere."

"Had a wonderful stay. I requested an upper floor room with ocean view and I wasn’t disappointed. John and Carol at front desk were always helpful and friendly. Room was clean, location within walking distance to aquarium and cannery row. Short drive to Carmel. Only issues were cable would go out sometimes and kids yelling and running around in courtyard. Luckily that stopped at 830. Overall was a great stay. "

"We love this hotel. It's within walking distance to Alvarado Street and other shops/restaurants, the rooms are always clean and a noon checkout time is such a bonus. The staff is always polite and helpful. We've never had a bad stay. The pool was cold this time and the lock is very janky, however My key wouldn't work and neither would the maintenance guy's, but he was great and got the gate open."
