"For the price it was a good little resort. Because we booked through Expedia, we were upgraded to the sun club , which gives you access to a quieter buffet, private pool and beach lounge area. That was really nice! Many bars can be seen throughout the resort. Wasn’t much area for dancing as the club was closed- but there is a bar with dancing which was fun! "I stayed at Barceló Bávaro Palace for 5 nights, and unfortunately my experience was extremely disappointing. One of the biggest issues was the water in the room. Every time we turned on the water in bath there was a terrible odor coming from it. The smell was extremely unpleasant, almost like something dead, and it made the room feel unhygienic and uncomfortable. The food was also very disappointing. "Staff were inviting, courteous and helpful. Room was clean and air-conditioning worked extremely well. Bed was not comfortable and no washcloths, no microwave in room. However, there was a microwave available at desk, blanket and hand towels available on request. Lovely courtyard!"
