"The room was very spacious since somehow they gave us a VIP room, but it was quite a bit out of date. The staff was unprofessional. They took half an hour to check us in, didnt give any voucher for breakfast (I booked a room with free breakfast), and doing something else on their phone while helping us. Special mention to Zaini who always had a friendly smile and assisted with booking a tour and making our stay just that more enjoyable with his helpfulness. The reception staff arranged an upgraded room after having problems with the door lock of our initial room. Housekeeping, ground staff and restaurant staff all do an excellent job. We also liked the hotel being set back off the business of the Main Street. A nice vibe around the beautiful pool and bar, we recommend the Mercure as a lovely place to stay. "
