"The staff was very nice and helpful; however, we drug, all of our luggage into the lobby to check in only to find out that checkin was not in the same building as the hotel room. So we had to load everything back up again and drive to the other building. "We returned after honeymooning 20 years ago. We stayed in Wailea before. This time we enjoyed the close proximity of the whaler village and their restaurants along with the ability to cook with the fully stocked kitchen. Staff were friendly and helpful Wonderful place and will try to stay here again. Hopefully not another 20 years before we are back to beautiful Maui 😊"

"We picked this hotel for our son’s senior high school trip. The location is Amazing! The convenience to Whalers, restaurants and the ocean was excellent. We’ve walked by this hotel for so many years and finally booked here. Our room was renovated with contemporary decor. The pool was terrific and they had complementary chairs for the beach. The concierge was extremely accommodating and was able to easily accept our Instacart order. "

"The room was a bit outdated but that’s many maui resorts for you. The amenities are nice and the fact that it is on the beach facing the sunset makes it worth, but there were multiple bugs (cockroaches and whatnot) found in the room (again, tropical island what can you do), and very old dirty feeling bathrooms and floors. The room was spacious and had no smell. The pictures def make it seem more modern than it is. For the price though it’s pretty solid, just don’t expect a fancy nice room"
