"We stayed at this hotel for one night before our cruise. The hotel is very sleek and modern, but we almost walked by it as it is completely surrounded by scaffolding at the time. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The room was nice and clean. Bathroom was very small. Grouting in shower could use some freshening up. "It’s a 3 star hotel that doesn’t pretend to be anything other. It’s clean. The food is good and the staff are very helpful. Despite the fact that the hotel was full the room was very quiet and we had a good nights sleep. It was really hot outside and the hotel staff provided us with a fan. Great place to stay"

"We very much enjoyed the upstairs pool, i believe there is a fee for the pool & jacuzzi on lower ground. Restaurant was lovely, polite and helpful staff. Our AC wasnt working properly, even when the gentleman came and fixed it, it wasnt really cool, but not an issue as was quite cool for june. "Easy check in and we managed to get a space parked outside. Room was a good size with a comfy bed, TV, tea and coffee making facilities, and a good size bathroom, with a few toiletries. Breakfast had plenty of food to choose from and they provided vege sausage and boiled eggs when we asked for them. Pool was a bonus. It was small and very warm, but nice to relax in. "Perfect hotel for our one night stay. Receptionist kindly upgraded our room upon arrival having established both mine and my partners caregiver roles and our request for a peaceful nights rest. The room was fantastically clean and although the hotel was of an age, the upkeep of it was admirable. All staff we encountered were courteous, friendly and polite. Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning as soon as our duties permit"

"Customer service was top notch.Went there for a quick 3 day trip for our 25th wedding anniversary before flying out later in the month. I tried my luck and asked the hotel room to be decorated to reflect the occasion and Village hotel delivered big time! They decorated the room with flowers and gave us a whole bottle of expensive Champagne to grace the occasion as well. "Unfortunately the hotel car park was full on arrival, so had to pay £21 to park on the road. One of my wing mirror's ( adjacent to the pavement) was deliberately smashed overnight. I did manage to park in the hotel car park on Saturday, however I will not risk coming back to the hotel again. The incident spoilt the weekend. "
