"Arrived late on the check in date but was greeted with tea time even though it was after tea time session. stay was excellent with clean and quiet bedroom. breakfast was great as well with mixture of local and western food. overall a great stay within a great location. things to improve: cant lock toilet door, and the sliding door is noisy. parking is also inconvenient."

"When we checked in we do not check on the access card because we expected it to work. But we went out and came back at 12:30am and we cannot enter. We called the front desk and no answer. "We loved our stay at Areca, we had a room on the ground floor and it was sheer luxury, spacious, beautiful tiles on the floor, high ceiling, lovely period furniture, fans and air conditioner and a shower that was truly magnificent. "Great location - walkable to Nasi Minang near Caltex, nasi kandar line clear and many others. Brand new hotel so everything is nice and clean. Room was not too big but enough for 2. Parking is onsite. Plenty of plug points in the room to charge devices. Comfortable bed. The minimalist Scandinavian interior decor is very pleasing. Coway water machine is available near the lift (no bottled water in room). The negatives are - kettle, cups and spoons are provided but not coffee. So bring your own....
