"When we checked in we do not check on the access card because we expected it to work. But we went out and came back at 12:30am and we cannot enter. We called the front desk and no answer. We knocked on the door, hopefully someone could hear us but no one came down to open the door for us. We waited for about 30- 40 mins. Then, what can we do? "Arrived late on the check in date but was greeted with tea time even though it was after tea time session. stay was excellent with clean and quiet bedroom. breakfast was great as well with mixture of local and western food. overall a great stay within a great location. things to improve: cant lock toilet door, and the sliding door is noisy. parking is also inconvenient."

"We loved our stay at Areca, we had a room on the ground floor and it was sheer luxury, spacious, beautiful tiles on the floor, high ceiling, lovely period furniture, fans and air conditioner and a shower that was truly magnificent.
