"The castle was a true castle and maintained well. The staff is every area we’re kind and friendly. This is a very nice place to enjoy adult only accommodations and my wife and I would stay here again if ever in the area. Food was also top quality and served as if you were at a 5 star restaurant. "This is a magical place to stay. The remaining part of the castle, the gatehouse, is where our room was, and in fact we had use of a significant part of that building which is around 700 years old. We had a huge 4 poster bed which was very comfortable, and our own bathroom across the landing. We had access to the grounds which contain a chapel with 6th century origins.
