"Booked an overnight stay and dinner for my birthday. Perfect location for a stroll around Shaftesbury with parking, but we booked because of the hotel restaurant. Room was clean, cosy and comfortable, the hotel had character. The restaurant was excellent, with faultless service from the time we spent in the bar deciding on our choices to coffee and petit fours there after dinner. Great food and very good value. My venison was excellent and the wine of the month a great recommendation....

"This lovely little studio is clean and very well equipped with all that is needed. The property owners left us a little Easter treat which was a lovely, unexpected touch that made us smile. Location is very nice giving the properly great views. Ample parking space, however joining the main road from the property can be a bit difficult due to it being on a blind bend. We had no issues pulling out onto the road during our stay, just have to be careful. Highly recommended this studio. "

"The breakfast was, I’d say, better than in a Hotel Ibis. The food was, definitely, locally sourced. We reached Bruton and the Hauser & Wirth arts complex easily from this hotel. We also visited the Jurassic Coast, but that took us a whole day, and we returned by 10pm."

"This is a single room detached building beside the host’s house and it is absolutely delightful. The bed is comfy, the bathroom has lots of big fluffy towels, there is coffee and tea in the room. The weather was warm while we were there but there is cross ventilation and a fan, and we were able to enjoy breakfast outside in the beautiful garden. I would highly recommend this for a couple wanting a quiet place to stay that is convenient to explore the Salisbury area."

A wonderful old building so there are some oddly shaped corridors as you'd expect but they only add charm to what is already a fabulous location and venue. "The location was perfect for us as we were going to the theatre. (2 minute walk). Walking to town didn’t take much longer and we enjoyed looking around. The lady that checked us in was very friendly and offered advice about where to visit. It was nice to be greeted with a smile and the same for when we went down for breakfast. We enjoyed breakfast very much, which was beautifully cooked and presented. To have parking at such a central location was great. We did have to play around getting out...
