"This is a nice place to stay for basic comforts. A little outside of the main bustling area but also nice to get away from it all. Very easy to navigate to the sight seeing spots. The onsen style space was lovely to have as an experience. They are strict about visible tattoos but if you have small ones they will let you cover them up so that you can enjoy! "

"We loved our stay at this hotel. We got a free upgrade to a room with a queen sized bed, which was great since we stayed in Kyoto for five days so having more space made our stay much more comfortable. We also loved that we were less than a 15 minute walk to the downtown shopping area (i.e., Nishiki market, great restaurants, etc.). We had a bus line and a subway station close by, so it was easy to get around Kyoto from the hotel. The staff were super nice and helpful. Out of all the budget...
