Can’t fault this hotel. Was clean, provided amenities were very good, very good location between the Keihan and Karasuma lines. Bus options plenty also. Close enough the central spots with walking distance to dining spots. Cannot comment on breakfast as I didn’t have it at the hotel.

Easily our favorite stay in Japan! The breakfast is full of traditional Japanese options, which is lovely. Great coffee too. The bathtub is wonderful, the water pressure is great, and the AC works really well. The rooms are very small, but this is normal and is fine for two adults. Good location as well, if you don't mind the buss or a small walk for train. We've stayed twice and we will absolutely stay again next time we're in Kyoto. We might even just stay at Sotetsu Fresa exclusively when in Japan. 💚

The staff were very kind and helpful to us, spoke great English as well. All the staff were very kind and respectful to us. I’m glad they let us leave our luggage at the hotel 1hr before our check in time so we can explore kyoto a bit. My husband and I enjoyed our room because it was so spacious, clean and comfortable. The AC worked very well for us and everything in our room made the experience great. This hotel is about a 8 minute walk from the nearest train station and approximately a 15-20 minute walk to the popular shopping and market. So if you don’t mind walking or taking the train, then this hotel is a great option. My husband and I mainly walked and used the trains to get around so it was very convenient for us. If your looking for a hotel I recommend this one.

Ideal location for your visit in Kyoto. Minutes walk to a Nishiki Market, not too far from Sannenzaka and easily easily accessible Kawaramachi-Dori street. You can leave luggage to front desk with tag before check-in if you don’t want to waste too much time. Would gladly come back without a doubt.

We liked the location and the room was fine. One thing that we didn’t like was that the cleaning staff came into our room without us asking for a clean. There was no sign to put on the door to not come in. Only signs to have them come in if needed. But we came back to a made up room which we didn’t want. Overall though it was a fine stay
