Very nice stay in the historic financial district
I was taking a flight transfer in Tianjin. Got to know Ritz is a must stay in the old square of the city. Booked a Balcony garden view luxury room for one night only. I had some free time to take a walk in town and found the hotel super close to the riverside historic financial district where the late 19th and early 20th century bank buildings are located. Room was super clean; breakfast was good; because of Covid-19, not many stayed residents and overall its pretty quiet. The staff was friendly but they still got some room to improve their service quality to supreme. I enjoyed the stay quite much.

What a fantastic hotel!!! Absolutely stunning
There's really not much to be said: absolute perfection, everything. The service was fantastic - we lost one bag in a train station and they got it back for us - so thank you to the fantastic concierge and bellboy team who saved our holiday! We stayed in the Suite, beautiful room, some of the best restaurants in the town actually inside the hotel, 100% great and recommended!

Great service but due for some TLC
We were in town for business. Got a great rate for this hotel through Hotels.com. Was unexpectedly underwhelmed by the hotel. It’s due for a little TLC; our room was somewhat tattered around the edges and our entire floor smelled terribly like horses.

A very elegant hotel with exceptional staff. For such a nice hotel, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The Club was awesome, with personalized service. This is one of my favorite hotels in which I have stayed in the last few years.

Didn't change the bed sheet and so on during my stay, and no vacuum either. The buffet is really terrible and not worth the price at all. They couldn't find my Ritz Carlton membership number either and so I could not enjoy the discount for my dinners. People there were nice and cordial

Best hotel I've ever stayed at. Everything is beautiful. Everything at the breakfast (except the coffee) was delectable. The staff was friendly and attentive - they really seem to care. The TV built into the bathroom mirror was cool. If you have a chance to stay here, do it.

Ritz Carlton is an established brand for luxury hotels, I expected nothing less. The hotel facility was nice and our executive suite was clean, comfortable. Happy with that. Poor review of the hotel is due to the lack of friendliness from all around. The check-in was so so, every little experience while staying here created some issues for unhappy experience. For example, as an executive suite guest, we could only have breakfast at the executive lounge. Typically that would be ok, however, our friends and family who are not staying at the hotel are not welcome to the lounge. Created some problem. had to call the hotel to get permission to eat breakfast at the hotel breakfast hall. In another example, my sister, who is local in Tianjin, not staying at the hotel sat with us at the lounge, the servers asked her to pay. Paying is not a problem, but just how it was brought up was super unfriendly and unpleasant, ruined our experience that could have been much more relaxing. Will not stay here again since the staff and service people of the hotel are not friendly to make the stay pleasant.

High standards
Hotel was definitely up to high standards. The only issue was having to call housekeeping every day to clean room. Very friendly staff, wish they spoke more English. Work out room and pool very nice. They had attendants who were very attentive. Would stay there again.

Mini-vacation in Tianjin
Hotel is really nice and staff is and well equipped. In particular the room was beautiful, quiet, with fantastic bed and superbly silent but efficient AC. The spa is gorgeous with great service, we felt really pampered there. Some minor complaints: check-in was slow and delayed us about half an hour. Staff said the "Hotel was fully booked". It is not a great excuse, especially at this price point. At breakfast all stations were not manned in the early morning (7 a.m.), also surprising for a hotel chain of Ritz-Carlton's stature. But the overall impression is hugely positive.

A beautiful and classy hotel
Ritz Carlton is a very beautiful and classy hotel. Whatever you see on the website is what you will get on actual site. Concierge can speak very good English and are very helpful. The room is very spacious and clean. The twin bed is in fact a double bed rather than a single bed. The bedding is premium and extremely comfortable, one of the best bed I've ever slept on. The hotel lobby, lounge and breakfast area are very classy but the food is average. I was also very impressed and touched by the staff's kind act to gift us with a cake and a handwritten birthday card for my husband without us requesting beforehand. Overall this is an excellent hotel, both for leisure and business.

One of the best hotels i have ever stayed
I have been to many hotels for business in my time, but this has to be one of the best hotels i have stayed in EVER. The interiors are beautiful, service from reception to the Flair restaurant are second to none. Rooms are beautifully ornate but you can tell everything is still fresh and new. Great location and seems a bit of a tourist hotspot with many people just coming for the afternoon tea and taking pictures around the amazing scenery the hotel provides. Special thanks to Sabrina for making me feel very welcome.

Service is excellent, hygiene to be improved
Overall the experience is very good. The staff is helpful and willing to do more for you. However, there were some mosquitoes in the bathroom and I found that some died mosquitoes in the bathroom. It should be improved the hygiene. For the location, it’s quite close to the TianJin airport which is very convenience for the logistics. For the breakfast, the type of food are standard, not many Tianjins’ signature there.
