"The over all stay was decent and staff was “invisible” in a good way. Available if needed but not underfoot. We were far enough off the main highway that it was very quiet. Lots of trees and shade. The thing that destroyed our stay was the fact that there are NO CHAIRS or a couch. Nothing to sit on with any back support. We resorted to bringing in our lawn chairs we were using on the beach. "we went on july 3rd so checkin was challenging. staff was nice but our room was facing lake tahoe blvd so very noisy. the staff said because we had booked on expedia, we couldnt change our room. the room was nice but again, quite noisy all nite long. i might stay gain, but not w/o knowing where the room was located."

"I had a wonderful stay at South Lake Chalet. The room looked exactly like the photos online, which was a pleasant surprise. The location is excellent—close to casinos, shopping, and a variety of restaurants. I especially enjoyed the studio room with its convenient kitchenette, which included a Keurig coffee maker, making it easy to enjoy a fresh cup of coffee each morning. "Staff was friendly and we were allowed to check in a little early. Location is wonderful for attending concerts at Caesars Republic. The Beer Garden is fun and active. Was bummed to see restaurant was closed after concert and property can use some attention. Peeling paint, and cobwebs on balcony railings in our room. Pollen buildup in parking lot could be hosed off.. Nothing terrible or a dealbreaker but a little TLC could go a long way."

"Had a room on the second floor, there is no elevator on the property. Our room does not even closely match the photos in their ads. Looks like the setting for a 70s porn movie. Mirrors around the bed and hot tub. Hot tub did not appear clean, we did not use. Needs updating!"

"The property as a whole was nice, and the front desk staff (Emmett) was very friendly and helpful. The room I stayed in was a bit outdated, but it had AC and a full kitchen. The location is excellent only a 6-7 minute walk to Lakeside Beach and 12-15 to the casinos. The beach pass lets you into the beach for $5 before 5pm which is a steal since they charge $30 at the gate. It’s free after 5pm with the voucher. Overall good stay and I would stay there again."

"We loved almost everything about our stay here. It's a great location for those who want to walk to shops and restaurants. The A/C in our bedroom did not work properly (and there was no ceiling fan) so we were uncomfortably hot and didn't sleep well. The young front desk staff didn't seem interested or concerned about it, which was disappointing. Despite the A/C issue we would likely stay there again."
