The ONLY reason to stay at this property is it's proximity to the heavenly Cal lodge entrance, however after checkout you may not leave your car there, and there is no luggage room. This means you have to be packed and ready to leave before the heavenly parking lot fills up (about 8AM the week we were there), which really nullifies the hotels only attraction.
The rooms are ok, though oddly shaped, old, not well kept (only half the outlets worked, got a slight electric shock turning on the coffee maker, ext'). The location is terrible - must drive everywhere (including the mountain across the street, as mentioned above), the Jacuzzi was great, though to small for a hotel this size so did get pretty crowded. The coffee shop is closed on the weekend, and no room service is available before 4PM so nowhere to get breakfast without driving and losing your parking spot at heavenly.
This stay was far more disappointing then any motel stay I had in Tahoe, at 3 times the cost. Strongly recommend you save yourselves the aggravation and find alternative accommodations.
