"Stayed for weekend, and we'd stay again if in the area. The food was lovely -far better than you usually expect invluded with the meal. If we had paid another £100 on top of the room price, we would have felt it was value for money. Room very clean (to be picky, a touch small but fine for a weekend) and staff lovely and attentive"

"The hotel is amazing and we have stayed here previously, but the bar staff were very few on this occasion. We waited a considerable time before being served, which we thought might be because we had been in the terrace bar earlier in the day. However, later that evening, we sat in the main bar and waited around 15 minutes; frustrated at staff not seeming to want to even approach us we decided to leave and go to our room. "

"It was our first stay at the King Arthur although we have been visitors to the pub for many years. We were thoroughly impressed with room number 8 from the moment we entered, spacious,clean, great views over the beautifully kept gardens, great shower room and a credit to the house cleaning team. "We had a lovely couple of nights at this beautiful hotel. Our room wasn’t ready until 4.50 pm which was a bit disheartening after a 3 hour drive and it was disappointing we were just offered a cup of tea and a sit in the lounge. This could have been handled better . The food was delicious, it was very quiet and beautiful lounges a shame there wasn’t anything to encourage guests to stay downstairs after dinner. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. "
