"Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast."

"Staff were great and breakfast was very good. Various little maintenance issues with the room (safe didn't work, various lights not working, mixer tap faulty so no cold water available). If the maintenance were sorted it would easily be rated excellent as the staff were great."

"Had a lovely one night stay. Room was clean and well presented. Staff were welcoming and helpful. There is a decked area for drinks in the evening (as long as there isn’t a wedding on) and you can sit looking at the great view and watch the sunset. The food was amazing, we had a 3 course dinner the night we arrived, great value for money and extremely reasonable priced (my husband is a chef, so is usually hard to please when it comes to eating out, but even he said the food was amazing)....

"Our room was excellent - recently decorated with good facilities - our only problem was with the shower (no instructions). We had an evening meal which was very well presented. No breakfast available but there are coffee shops and cafes in the village. The staff were very helpful. We would happily stay here again."

Being able to walk down to the River Usk and wander for miles through the open fields was such a special experience. "My overall assessment on the stay would rate it no more than a three star. There are some minor maintenance issues that need to be looked into. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food was very good and the full English was excellent. The idea of filling out what you wanted for breakfast the previous day was not really how I would like it as this might change, I would prefer to decide on the day. Conclusion: The accommodation was a little tired and in need of a spruce up."
