"The room was clean it was just certain spots in the bathroom that needed deep cleaning other than that the room service people were good and polite also the hotel staffs were good some were polite and helpful and some don't really communicate as much like too welcoming or smiling I guess that's a new York thing "

It's in the south Bronx, so if u not used to being surrounded by people much less fortunate than you, then you might be a little surprised. "This is my second stay here, and it won’t be the last. Just like last time I especially enjoyed the good water pressure and modern bathroom, and the fact they have washcloths for use, a real plus in my book. I also like their bed linens and pillows. Since I was in a room that faces the street right above the entrance I did occasionally get whiffs of cigarette and “other” smoke, but that’s just circumstantial geography and it didn’t bother me at all. "This is a gem of a hotel in a gem of a neighborhood. Nothing too fancy but clean and the staff are wonderful. Our go-to when we're in NYC. The Greenwich Village location is away from the tourist areas, quiet, with easy access to the subway, restaurants, and right on the best people-watching park in the city, Washington Square."
