"Enjoyed the history, luxury, location and amenities of this hotel. To improve check in/ out there is a need for more attentive staff. "This was not great for families. 4 people (2 adults, 2 kids) and we only had 3 pillows between us. They "ran out". Breakfast was a joke (granola bars and oatmeal packets). Would not give extra towels or sheets until we returned the used ones. Pool had no furniture to sit on."

"I really like the home away from home feel with a kitchenette and sitting room. Breakfast being offered is a plus. The room I stayed in had a musty odor when I walked in and seemed to linger throughout my stay, unfortunately. Seems I may have stayed in an older building or one that has not been renovated yet. The elevator carpet needs major cleaning or replacement. My stay was just okay."

"The carpet was not clean, the bedding was. A few of the bath towels and dish cloth given had human and animal hair in them, toilet screws were complete loose, the hallway wreaked daily although industrial strength freshener was used daily to mask the odor, the smell was sickening-had to hold my breath and walk briskly. "The breakfast was subpar. The king mattress was on a queen frame, so the sides were not supported. No individual shampoo, condition or soap. All was in dispensers in shower that anyone could open and dump anything into. The tub didn't drain so when you showered you stood in 3 inches of water. This was a handicapped room! Totally unsafe getting into shower. Handicapped rooms should not have showers that you have to step over tub side to use."

"I used to stay here all the time and it was always nice but now the place is so run down. Fridge was not working, tried phoning front desk but just kept getting a busy dial tone. Carpets need a deep clean. Place smells dingy overall especially the bathroom. Maintenance repairs look poorly done and room just looks like its falling apart. I'd recommend staying at La Quinta right next door or Hampton down the street instead."

The only concern I had and I told the staff was in my room the shower pressure was too strong and the shower floor didn't have hardly anti slip on it. I almost slipped. Maybe it was only in my room."
