"Nice hotel located only 5 min walk to the center. Staff at the reception is very nice and we had a fast check-in. Breakfast is really good, the staff is polite and they keep the restaurant clean at all times. The room we had was on 18 floor with a lot of light into the room - really nice. However the day of the check-out the elevators did not work, so we along with many other guests had to walk down the emergency exit, which was a horrible experience. No instructions from the hotel so some guests ended up in the kitchen area others ran to find some exits - that should have been handled much better from the hotel. Elderly people did not have a chance to get down."

"We had an excellent stay at east Hotel Hamburg and would gladly stay here again. The hotel has a very distinctive design style with a lot of attention to detail, from the furniture and lighting to the overall atmosphere of the property. It feels modern, well maintained, and thoughtfully put together with creative flair. We didn’t dine in the restaurant, but we did have drinks there a couple of times and really enjoyed the space. The restaurant and bar area has a unique immersive light installation along one wall adding to the overall artistic atmosphere. We originally stayed in the older section of the hotel, but due to construction noise from a new spa being built, the staff kindly moved us to the newer wing. Both sides of the hotel were very well kept and comfortable. The older section had nicer garden views, while the newer side included an nespresso machine in the room, which was appreciated. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the shower had excellent water pressure and reliable hot water. The staff throughout our stay were professional, helpful, and accommodating. The location was also very convenient, close to the Reeperbahn and Metro in St. Pauli. My only criticism would be the shower design in the newer rooms. The shower area is quite open with a clear glass door, and a bit more privacy would improve the setup. Overall, this is a very good hotel with strong design, a great ambiance and excellent service. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hamburg."

"The price I paid for a room and breakfast was about £73 per night which I thought was excellent value for money. The bedroom was rather basic but it did include a king sized bed with two separate duvets. The bathroom facilities were rather cramped but did include a walk-in shower. The hotel itself was away from SBahn and UBahn stations but they were walkable. The number 3 bus however gave easy travel from the Hauptbahnhof, although the stop was not easy to locate, to the hotel. As the hotel was in a one way street the return stop into the city centre was in the next road but easily located. Breakfast was the usual self service. There was no restaurant for other meals but there were self-service facilities to purchase food and drinks. However the sandwiches did run out. So I would describe this more as a snack service. However there were many eating establishments in the city centre."
