Best Western Plus Suites Hotel Coronado Island

10/10 Excellent

"Enjoyed our stay! Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was great with a large variety of foods to choose from. We had a clean, roomy and quiet room. Walking distance to restaurants, grocery store and the bay. Enjoyed the courtyard to relax and visit with our friends."

"The check-in is guaranteed for 4 PM. That is late by any measure. Nevertheless, my check-in was delayed 15 minutes. Fundamentally I think that is a ridiculous time to check in. The Hilton app displays a message on the digital keying item icon to contact the front desk when your room is not ready. At least that’s what the front desk told me. That doesn’t make any sense. I asked him why it just didn’t display. This room was not ready, but they told me they have no control over the app. Obviously that’s the wrong answer. The cabana pool was nice. It was a family pool so inevitably there were children screaming and crying. Would be nice if there was an adults only pool. Service was very good at the pool. And of course, the hotel location is beautiful. I also very much enjoyed using the Hilton app for access to the hotel and my room. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay, but did not appreciate the delayed check-in."

"Was pleasantly surprised at how nice this motel was (we booked for the NASCAR race so most everything else was already sold out). The women who checked us in I think were the actual owners and were soooo nice! They had free drinks and fresh cookies in the lobby and there is a cute little restaurant attached (we unfortunately didn't have time to try it out but it looked good)! They also had a firepit and complimentary bikes and other items which was an added touch. Rooms were clean and there was additional parking in the back. Don't have any complaints! Wish we weren't so busy with the races - we could have really enjoyed what they had to offer!"

"The location was excellent, the hotel was beautiful, the staff were so friendly and helpful. We used the pool, hot tub, laundry, etc. So close to everything-- restaurants, shopping, the beach, rentals of all kinds. There was construction type work going on in the courtyard but it didn't bother us. Beds were comfortable and rooms were spacious. Would love to stay here again!"
