"Merci à la dame de la réception qui était très gentille et m’a beaucoup aider durant le séjour. Aussi l’hôtel est très bien mais un peu cher par rapport à Tulum Centre, et la plage peut parfois être rempli de sargasse cela dépendant de la saison malheureusement."

"This is an older wonderful find tucked among the new hotels and NOISY bars on the beach road. After spending 8 days exploring Mexico City this was pretty much what we needed….beach, books, naps and an ocean breeze to keep the temperature comfortable. The staff here were wonderful and did their best to accommodate us by moving us immediately to a quieter, very nice cottage. It was much appreciated and they were correct…things mostly calmed down after the weekend. Breakfast on the beach was a treat. Fresh fruit, homemade jam, a digestif, coffee and good omelettes with eggs from the chickens they raise right at the hotel. We didn’t rent a car and suggest doing so if you plan to explore the Tulum area. The beach here is beautiful with sand like sugar. We had to deal with sargassum but it didn’t keep my husband out of the waves. I enjoyed the very lovely pool and had it to myself. Thank you to Magdalena, Levite and chef for their care! "

"If you're looking for a five-star resort with a very natural feel, this is for you. The amenities, restaurants and staff are top notch. Still very equal friendly. It's an adventure, just walking around the property. Unfortunately, the ocean was full seaweed. The resort did have workers there every morning keeping the sand looking pristine."

"I was disappointed with what the hotel had to offer in terms of amenities. Everywhere outside the furniture was in poor condition, with uncomfortable seats, especially on the roof. Unfortunately, the beaches were covered in seaweed, though that is not anybody's fault. Due to the condition of the furniture, we didn't feel comfortable relaxing on the roof terrace, so we didn't swim on the property at all. The furniture in the rooms themselves were in great condition, however. The staff was lovely and communicative. The rooms were especially clean, thanks to Griselda. The QR code entry system sometimes works and sometimes doesn't work. I'm not sure what the difference was. Most of the time we ended up using the key card they provided. "

" The entire experience at Ahau was amazing. The resort fully embodies the Tulum vibe. We splurged and enjoyed a 2nd floor King Suite with a beautiful beachfront view. The concierge team was immensely helpful in planning and booking excursions. The beach was fantastic aside from the seasonal sargassum. The restaurant food and service were great. Our waiter, Sergio, took great care of us and always greeted us with a warm welcome & smile. Lastly, the added bonus of free access to The Face of Tulum and Jungle Gym helped set this resort apart from all the others we saw while in Tulum. We highly recommend Ahau for couples or families seeking the full Tulum experience!"

"This hotel is a jungle paradise on the beach! The rooms are so beautifully designed, clean, and natural feeling. We stayed in a standard room on the second level and our bathroom had a skylight! We were treated so kindly by Steph, who made our stay 10x more special. She was helpful at every turn and deserves all the praise!"
