El hotel está perfecto, creo que yo lo único que le podría agregar sería una pequeña alberca (aunque sé que no es tan fácil hacerlo por encontrarse dentro de la reserva); solo hubo un detalle en la última cena ya que el pescado que ofrecían era mero, pero no era el que efectivamente te servían; aún así estaba rico pero sí les sugiero chequen su proveedor porque les está vendiendo gato por liebre

Anniversary Trip was Relaxing!

While the drive was long and rough, the resort itself and our casita was lovely. Samuel was absolutely amazing in taking good care of us. The food was great. I wish there were more to do in the area, and we wish the beach and water were cleaner in order to swim and walk. Overall it was nice and secluded and we are considering going back.

Beautiful rooms on the beach

We had a great stay here. The room was very nice, with a good layout for families: king bed, double bed, and a single all in one big room. You can lie in bed and hear the waves at night. The swimming was good and we had a 3-hour boat tour of the bay during which we saw a manatee, sea turtles, birds, and various fish while snorkeling. The only drawback I can think of is that the road to the hotel is full of potholes, so we had a long, bumpy ride to get here.

Super fint hotel, men mareridt at komme dertil.

Vi ville aldrig hjemmefra have booket et hotel, der ligger så afsides og som er så besværligt at komme til og fra. Beskrivelse af hotellet er ikke i orden, da vi ingen steder kan læse, at vejen går gennem en jungle, og at den er ekstrem dårlig og fyldt med større og mindre huller med og uden vand. Man skal således bumle sig igennem en strækning på ca. 40 km, men hvor man højest kan køre 10 km/timen og derfor skal beregne mere end tre timers meget ubehagelig kørsel fra Tulum. Man skal således beregne en halv dagsrejse fra Tulum, og mindst 5-7 timers kørsel til og fra Cancun. (Lufthavnen.) Strækningen kan kun tilbagelægges i en Jeep eller anden stor bil. Hotellet er i sig selv ubeklageligt med et venligt personale og en fin restaurant. Derudover ligger Punta Allen by ca. 8 km væk fra hotellet (dvs. ca. 40 min kørsel), hvor man kan komme på fine ture og se både delfiner, havskildpadder og søkøer.

En eller två nätter räcker gott och väl. Inte mycket att se förutom en dagstur med båt där man ser delfiner och en sköldpadda om man har tur. Inte värt den jobbiga bilturen dit från tulum. Extremt gropig väg trots att vi körde en jeep ner.

A gem in the wild.

We had an amazing stay at Sol Caribe, and would be back, provided we are have enough again to drive on the road. We highly recommend people to stay here if they want to spend a quiet R&R by the sea.

Hugely overpriced

You pay for luxury but get a very simple place. Location is superb, the room is VERY basic, food is bad and service is terrible. If the place was a third less, I'd be satisfied. When we arrived, the lights were not working, the curtains had not been put up (we had to insist for the to put them up), the hot water boiler was not working and the drinking water provided had been standing for days (it tasted stale and of plastic). Food in the restaurant is average to poor. For the same price and cheaper you can get an amazing meal in a good restaurant in Playa del Carmen. The hotel charged us for 3 adults, even though we were traveling with a toddler (according to them toddlers don't pay). When asked why they said they could not provide us with a refund as payments had been already made.

Muy agradable estancia para desconectar

Las cabañas están muy cuidadas, el trato de todo el personal es muy bueno y por supuesto la playa paradisíaca es increíble. La desconexion es total y hay muchísima oferta ecoturistica en la zona, recorridos por manglares, avistamiento de fauna como delfines, tortugas, aves; Snorkel, arenales, pesca y mucho mas. Repetiría seguro.

Nice place, but not as nice as expected. Not accurate description on Hotels.com for this hotel. Having said that, staff were friendly and gave very fine service. A bit pricy - both restaurant and accommodation. Didn't meet our expectations.

So nice! we were the only people at the hotel as they were doing maintenance but they treated us like royalty! Great spot if you can handle the road getting to it. Worth the trip but rent an SUV!!!!!

Beautiful Beach,Comfortable rooms, Attentive staff

The positives is the seclusion, nature, beach and beautiful and comfortable accommodations. The downside is that is is secluded, the difficult road, food choices, etc. If you have any questions before or after booking, call the Manager Samuel, he is very accommodating, kind and helpful.

wild paradise

Wonderful wild nature getaway, just make sure the 40 mile dirt road in is in good condition and have a sturdy car. Also has wonderful food. A litle pricey but a bargain compared to four star hotels in Tulum

Great staff, amazing getaway

Great, friendly staff willing to assist you with whatever you need. It is a small resort so we often felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Not a bad thing since we were on our honeymoon! We stayed in the Beach Cabana and it was amazing. We will be going back to Sol Caribe one day! I already miss waking up to the sound of the waves, resting in hammocks, eating delicious food, snorkeling, and playing dominoes with the staff! There are a few things that you should be aware of before going to Sol Caribe however. It is off the beaten path (which for us was a major draw). Being off the beaten path does mean driving 35 km down a dirt road, which in the rainy season can be pretty bumpy. We went down in a sedan and made it fine, but did get a small charge for cleaning when we returned the rental car ($20 US). Would recommend an SUV if possible. Another big thing to know... There are no gas stations and no ATMs, not even in the small town (Punta Allen) past Sol Caribe. So you need to bring plenty of cash and have a full tank of gas! There are tours of the Biosphere by boat which leave from Punta Allen (~$118 per boat which can fit up to six people). That and all food in Punta Allen need to be paid for in cash. Just things to keep in mind!

EL PARAISO

Es literal el paraíso, alejado de todo el bullicio, sin señal de teléfono, ideal para desconectarte del mundo, el personal del hotel increíblemente amable, mi habitación hermosa, amplia, limpia, súper cómoda, solo recomiendo llevar un buen repelente y algo que mantenga alejando a los moscos porque abundan y no puedes ni comer a gusto en el restaurante, que por cierto me pareció algo caro, pero fuera de eso la estancia fue de lo mejor.

Very Nice Small Resort...but...

Very nice place on the beach. Huge rooms ( 400-500 sq. ft.) Lovely staff... Excellent food and beverage especially given the remoteness of the location..only issue was it is quite hot in Late July and there is NO AIR CONDITIONING in any of the units...The breeze does blow but it is still 80 degrees at night and very humid and sleeping conditions were difficult..because of that would not return unless temperatures were at least 10 degrees cooler....

Wir waren zum Fischen in Mexico und dafür ist das der perfekte Ausgangspunkt. Der Hotelmanager ist selbst Fliegenfischer und auch Guides können vermittelt werden. ich /wir können dieses Hotel sehr empfehlen! FW

remote location, well worth the effort

Firstly, before I mention the awesome stuff, it has to be said that this hotel is quite remote, 35km south of Tulum on a very rough road on the way to Punta Allen, which should not be attempted without a 4x4 or an SUV. Trust me, it is not the easiest drive. That said, once you arrive there, it becomes clear why it is worth the effort: beautiful beach, privacy and quiet intimacy away from the hustle and bustle of Cancun, remote beauty and a few minutes by boat to see dolphins, sea turtles, rays and snorkelling. Both my wife and I were blissfully happy with this hotel and loved every minute of it. Highly recommended, but be aware of the roads!

This property is amazing. What a way to get away from it all! Quite difficult to get to, but worth it. Must stay at least 2 nights after driving all that way on that dirt road...Awesome.

Paradise

Pros: isolated without TV nor Wifi, very pivate, luxus-eco-environment, fantastic beach, restaurant with delicious food and juices, very relaxing. A real paradise. Owner couple super cool and helpfull. Great for couples! Contras: Access road (1 1/2 hr of bumpy road) however it's been repaired, prices a bit high (but worths it).
