"First of all, I booked a suit with balcony jacuzzi and ocean front view. The suit I got had partial ocean view. They wanted me to pay an additional $600 for water front. Not only that, the front desk manager, Soul was very rude about it. When I told him you just lost a customer, he said it’s Ok! Second, when leaving the resort, they hold you hostage! The only way to leave the resort is by taking their taxi and pay their fees, which is double! Otherwise, the resort is ok. The food was good and clean."

"Overall we enjoyed our stay but I would not stay in Puerto Morelos again. At no fault to the resort the ocean was just not pretty - lots of seaweed and water looked like tea. Pros- I really liked the layout of the resort with the rooms away from the restaurant/pool area and the restaurants all close together. It’s completely worth it and maybe necessary to booked at least Preferred level to get access to the best restaurants. The buffet was not great but we loved Blue Water Grill and the other restaurants. The servers, hosts, and virtually all staff were EXCELLENT. People- bring pesos and TIP PLEASE. In the US you can order them from your bank branch. I totally recommend the swim out ocean front rooms. We had full service out there and it was lovely. Also- the room service is great! Cons- our room had terrible air conditioning so I didn’t sleep well at all. The food at the poolside grill was also kind of terrible."

"Everyone was really nice and the staff learned your name the day. They were always welcoming and called you by your name. The rooms were really clean and the housekeeping service was always on top of it. My steamer didn’t work and within 15 mins they brought me an iron."
