"I mean wow! What can I say about this wonderful gem of a boutique property. Super cool retro-modern interior, great layout, textures, lighting, and furnishings. 5-star accommodations, for a 3-star price, excellent value. You also have in suite laundry machine, and well equipped kitchenette, good size fridge/ freezer. I hope this starts a trend of refurbished properties done right for todays sophisticated family traveler. Location isn't bad either, lol!"

"All was great. Clean, well-maintained, and easy to access. Great location, with Nishiki Market, countless restaurants, and grocery nearby. The only minor complaint I have is the slowness of filling the hot tub on the first day. On subsequent days it got better, however. The staff was very responsive through email. "

"Highly recommend this place to stay in Kyoto, so close to Gion, wonderful restaurants, and transport. The accommodation is so spacious, well equipped, clean and has a wonderful feel with an amazing wooden bath. Special thanks to Yui who works the front desk and the Cafe. She was wonderful, so friendly, helpful and welcoming to us. It's an amazing place and we would definitely return next time. "

"Beautiful boutique hotel on a lovely quiet street in the heart of Gion. Our room was on the 4th floor with a view over the rooftops of Kyoto- very charming. Decent size room for a small hotel. Staff was friendly- location just perfect. "

"Excellent place to stay in Gion. Really nice location, convenient. Attentive staff but they will not get in your way. Nice bathroom with a Japanese-style shower and tub area. Very clean and nice amenities. Although no breakfast provided, they provide suggestions and a convenience store is right across the street."

"Grill 54 is absolutely amazing! The service, the food is all very top quality, we loves the atmosphere with the mini bamboo forest as well as the samurai armor set in the bamboo, the front desk staff we're extremely friendly, helpful and gard working, overall i highly recommend this hotel as well as the location is close to the Kyoto station sooo much shopping and absolutely amazing food!"

"A place to stay!!! Pros: It’s in a premium spot: subway is 1 min walk. Shops, restaurants is literally downstairs. Very clean and quiet, staff wonderful.10 min walk from Gion district. Pros +: Practical self service of water, soft drinks and even sake and toiletteries articles. They gave us free coupons to try the Koe doughnuts downstairs (worth it!!)
