I’m beautiful hotel with the wonderful bar and food place downstairs that also brings the food upstairs to your room wonderful cleaning service and staff and upbeatnightlife
The location is perfect for party animals. Right on 5th ave. with public parking nearby. Staff were nice, but the doorknob to the bathroom was broken and the TV could not pick up a signal.
The hotel was great, it is noisy but we expected that so it didn’t bother us. The check in on the other hand was difficult, it’s my understanding that perhaps something may have gone wrong as we submitted the document with our information but never received the enter code for our room, upon arrival there is no reception present, I was glad to hear back from the person giving the codes through WhatsApp, but then it took some more effort to get it working as at first it was being a bit glitchy, I think the check in could be streamlined a bit better, perhaps adding pictures of where you’re meant to enter the code. Overall we enjoyed our experience, the hotel was nice and the man who helped us get in was very kind, I’m sorry I don’t remember his name. Great location as it is close to all things you could need and very walkable which we loved.
Staff were fine. Bathroom is outdated, basically no pool, curtains were visibly dirty. The bands downstairs play all night and they basically sounds like they are in the room. Could not sleep, booked a room elsewhere.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
I stayed at Hotel Banana 7 nights with my daughter and we both loved the place. The staff is very nice and helpful. The place is a little outdated, but it has everything you need.
It was pretty fun. I stayed here for a month. There was always something to do around the corner. I enjoyed how convenient it was. And you were right around on fifth so you can hear and see all the activities and not be too far from them. And they had a great restaurant called La Tierra underneath.

The hotel was delightful note that its stairs only. Also it’s located right in the action for entertainment and shopping so noice level in evenings are high. But l was on rooftop very cozy. Air conditioner was perfect. Plug outlets were what l needed for Canada. I highly recommend if you don’t mind the noise.
The location is good, but Wifi doesn't work well, none of the windows are sound proof, impossible to sleep at night, there is a restaurant at the first floor with live music and few meters away there is a night club, so if you want a chill place to sleep, I don't recommend it.
When you read the reviews and they say this property is noisy all night long-this is not an exaggeration! In fact, it’s an understatement. This hotel is nestled between and above two open air restaurant/bars (TieRra & Agave) and they both have live bands every night (930pm-3am)!!! So, you’re not just hearing one really loud band, you’re hearing 2, at the same time; every night!!! Also, the only “pool” is an unheated hot tub. Luckily, when we were there it was not too busy, there are only 2 sun loungers. The balcony was very small, just enough room for 2 chairs. There are no blankets or bedspreads, just a top and bottom sheet. No extra towels for beach (2 blocks away) or “pool”. Otherwise, great location; no parking.
The building could be cleaned better. Especially the main floor when guests come in. The cleaning ladies up stairs are wonderful. The staff overall need to learn more English. Example- fork, knife, spoon, toast. Simple things. We should not be told rudely to do the translation app for Simple things. There are enough English speaking people that come to your hotel. Shopping was very expensive this year.
