"Wonderful hotel that makes an extra effort. The check in was easy and nice touches like watermelon water available, there was a board that highlighted the breakfast the following day. For breakfast they had both a waffle and a pancake maker, whipped cream and even chocolate sprinkles. Along with a pretty decent frittata and potatoes. Plenty of other options including cereal, toast, and (packaged) muffins. Room was quiet and beds and bedding were clean and comfortable."
"This is our 2nd stay and we had another wonderful night here. This is our base camp before we head to Reggae on the River. We will stay here every year going forward annually!
The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and staff very friendly!!
We were even allowed to leave our third car for the long weekend in their parking lot, and for free!

"We enjoyed our stay at Carter House. The bartender made us mocktails because we didn’t want the options that they had. I was also able to charge our EV at no cost. Location is very convenient for Eureka."
"Despite its being a motel in an unsafe area on Hwy 101, across from a marijuana shop such that you get out of the car and smell it- the grounds, room, bed, and customer service were excellent. The front staff was always eager to help. The pool area has a tropical oasis vibe and hotel staff were often keeping it clean and tidy. You could tell the management was excellent.
