"We would absolutely stay here again! The hotel was amazing, from the decor to the staff. The welcoming scent and cleanliness of the hotel were immediately noticeable. Our room decor was lovely, and we were particularly impressed with the spacious bathroom. We arrived early, so the staff kept our belongings until our room was ready. When we returned much later, our room was ready, and our bags had already been delivered. The town and city walls are just a short walk away. We booked a table at The Tomahawk Steak House while sitting on our bed in the hotel. The time for our table was in five minutes, so we briskly walked there and were in the restaurant within ten minutes, it’s that close to everything. The bed was comfortable, and the rainfall shower head in the bathroom was a nice touch. There was even a 24-hour pizza menu in the room. The only two things we noticed were; the noise outside on Saturday night. There was shouting and a few loud vehicles, but it wasn’t directly in the centre of town, so we assumed it was an isolated incident. And, there wasn’t a breakfast menu online or in the room. The downstairs continental breakfast looked really nice, but we couldn’t find any details from our room, so we skipped it and went into town for breakfast instead. We would highly recommend this hotel for your York city stay! "

"From my room's window I had the most beautiful of York Minster! The train station is a short, flat walk away. York Minster is less than 5 mins away and The Shambles was less than 10 mins. The room was quite comfortable, the breakfast was very hearty. I will be staying here again!!"

"Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Restaurant was excellent. We had breakfast and dinner in the main dining room (did not try the other restaurant with the tasting menu). Stayed with wife and son in connecting rooms. Rooms were well appointed and comfortable. "
