"Checked in as a silver Expedia member, was meant to get a free bottle of wine under the membership - this wasn’t mentioned or offered. Was put in a room on level 2 which shakes and is extremely loud from the train line directly below. Did not get any sleep - the hotel hasn’t been updated since our last stay in 2021 & woke up to a gap in our roof"

"North Sydney Hotel was perfect for us! It was only a 1km walk to the US Consulate, the room was cute, the rain shower was perfect and the common room for breakfast was a nice touch. I only wished we could have stayed a lil longer to enjoy the pub and restaurant downstairs. It's in a great central location with easy access to trains."

"The hotel is very falsely advertised. The room is very small to the point of being very cramped for even one person. For what you pay a night you could get a room twice as big. The listing advertised soundproofing but the soundproofing is nonexistent. You hear everything the people around you are doing even flushing the toilet. I was on a higher floor but the street noise was still pretty loud so I'm assuming it's even worse on a lower floor. I got the room for the "city view" but the only thing...

"maybe it s all in black, that s why I get to see more dust with my eyes.. but dust everywhere. and I doubt cleaners can clean thoroughly as the lights in the room is a bit deemed out. shower head was broken, so could not fix the head, I had to use backwall to fix it... "

"Continuous Terrible smell from room, pillows & bed were so uncomfortable which disrupted sleep for everyone. Staff attitude was such that we were the last person they wanted on earth to board the hotel. Not sure how this hotel is keeping up with any competition in a busy city like Sydney."

"Clean and comfortable accomodation close to The Rocks, Circular Quay and transport. We stayed during Vivid so the area was busy until about 11pm each night but got quiet after this and is a lovely quiet area in the morning. Rooms were clean and comfy, with a few creature comfort and reasonably priced per night.
