"We booked and paid extra for a room with a view but there wasn’t much to see from the floor we were on and the side we faced. Also beware they hold $300 deposit for incidentals and such when you check in, this was never refunded after calling the hotel and waiting 10 business day, had to dispute with credit card. In addition, grout in bathroom floor was filthy and stained, not properly cleaned or maintained. Finally skip the breakfast, food was decent but folks working there are unfriendly."

"We love the location—close to the 14th Avenue subway station. Lobby is unique and hosts a good breakfast that comes with the room. Decor is ship-themed, with large “portholes” for windows. The hotel is quiet and the beds are comfortable. Curiously, the bathroom light never turns off fully. The bathroom is large and the shower is huge! "Excellent hotel in a convenient Mid-Manhattan location. Times Square, the Empire State Building, and many other popular attractions are within easy walking distance. Penn Station is also nearby, making travel to and from JFK Airport by subway simple and convenient. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our stay.
