"Last week I had a very pleasant stay at Deer Haven Inn. It's location is at the quiet end of the peninsula, which I appreciate. Very short walk to Asilomar beach. My room had a small fridge and microwave, also a coffee maker. Very clean and very safe. Adequate parking. Nisha, who manned the front desk, is very pleasant and efficient. I love Pacific Grove, and Deer Haven is one of the more affordable options. "

"Tv was not working but front desk was quick to come check it out she needed to send the manager over but we planned on leaving to head down to the beach and requested them to come back later after 6 manger was there right at 6! Manger was able to get tv up and running. Both attendants were so kind and helpfu! Great service!"

"A bit tired and worn property. Clean room other than mold in the shower. Bathroom sink ran barely a trickle, while the toilet ran intermittently."

"Huge room with nice vaulted ceiling! A little dated but very comfortable. Cute and friendly town. Definitely tour the lighthouse, walk the butterfly and coastal trails!"

"Our hotel room had tons of MOLD in the shower and in the room with wall paper peeling off exposing more mold. We couldn't even stay there because one of us in the group were allergic to mold and we did not even get a refund. "

"It’s a great location and beautiful scenery. The kids loved that the deers were right in the parking lot and you could hear frogs at night. The hotel itself shows its age and the first night and first morning we had no hot water and the staff was slow to address it. Once we had this issue fixed the stay was good. "

"The Staff is excellent. The breakfast was limited but of good quality. My main issue was the bathroom situation. It might be fine in a suite, but the king bedroom situation was substandard. The house is lovely and I expect that this B & B is pretty much what you should expect in terms of price in Pacific Grove. It is an expensive area of CA and things cost more. "

"This is a beautifully appointed B&B located across the street from the bay. Many rooms have a direct view. There are no TV's which keeps it serene. Breakfast is a large as you want it with adequate choices. Come early as the patios tend to get a bit cool after 45 minutes. Restaurants are within walking distance. Parking is limited, even on the street. There are a LOT of stairs, but apparently some ADA rooms as well as a couple ADA on site parking spaces."

"Would highly recommend staying here. The nice receptionist upgraded our room for free and all of the staff is very nice. The ocean view is beautiful. We had breakfast at the restaurant which was so delicious. The vanilla latte and Belgium waffle were a 10/10. "

"The hotel is charming and in a great location, which we really enjoyed. However, the photos online don’t quite reflect the current condition of the rooms. They feel a bit dated and could use some updating. We booked for 2 rooms and one cottage for our family of 6. In the cottage, the chair cushions were torn and the blinds in our room were difficult to operate due to their age. Small details like these took away from the overall comfort. That said, the property itself has a lot of character....
