This property is extremely outdated, and we only stayed here out of necessity due to a last-minute scheduling issue at our original motel. While I don’t want to sound harsh, the condition of this place is very disappointing. We arrived to see weeds around the welcome signs and benches, along with some trash. Stepping into our suite felt like going back decades — unfortunately not in a charming or nostalgic way. The furniture, fixtures, and overall environment were old and worn, and the musty smell of mildew was hard to ignore.
On a positive note, the bedding was clean and the bathroom was tolerable, but that’s where the positives ended. We were here during Monterey Car Week, and several other car enthusiasts we spoke with had similar feelings.
This may have once been a respectable “old school” option in Pacific Grove, but in its current state, it simply doesn’t justify charging guests to stay here. My recommendation: look elsewhere if you can.
