"Great location! Beautiful property. Friendly Staff. Carpet in the room could use a good scrub. Bathroom was large so was confused as to why there wasnt more counter space installed. Could hear every step from guests upstairs so I would suggest a higher floor. But overall place was super unique and cool and romantic vibes. I would stay here again if I'm ever lucky enough to visit the area again"

"This is an older property, and it shows. We had a downstairs room and we could hear every step, scrape, chair and more from the guests upstairs. It's built around a small car park and you will hear every car that comes and goes all night long. If you';re looking for a good night's sleep you may want to look elsewhere. That aside, rates are decent for PacGrove, and it was very clean. Upcharge to have a dog in the room, which I always find a bit of a ripoff--"

"I highly recommend this place. We loved everything about it. Location, staff, cleanliness, comfort and charm. Everything was perfect. Clean, quite, pool jacuzzi, ocean, fire pit. We will be back again. We celebrated my 55 Bday and our wedding anniversary there. Wife and I had an amazing time there. Thank you to the very friendly and professional staff for making our stay such a blast."

"The pool and hot tub were great! The breakfast was good before starting our day. The only complaint we had was the people above us were super loud throughout the 1st night but after they left the next night was so much better. We would definitely like to stay at this hotel again but try to get a second floor room."

"This was our second stay and the room was clean, and had basic amenities. We love the location as it's close to beach and downtown PG, and within a short drive distance from stores and other attractions in Monterey."

"We stayed here for 2 nights & we’re in town to celebrate our anniversary. Our stay was comfortable enough & the room was spacious & well equipped. However, the parking lot is shared by another hotel “ Charles” which made the spots very tight & difficult to park. Overall, satisfactory stay."

"We have stayed here many times. The location in outstanding. The rooms offer plenty of space and the office staff is always super friendly and helpful. Through out 3 night stay, we connected with the office several times and every one of them was communicative and willing to help in any way. Parking is great-never have had a problem finding a spot whether it's the garage or parking lot in front of hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious. The views of the bay and lover's point are...

"My room was hot and AC did not work. My bed felt like it was going to break, this place looked like a motel. Room was tiny and no decor."

"Great amenities and restaurants. Very cool underground bridge to connect the 2 sides of the property. Really cool hot tubs on the rooftop. Great views of the ocean, and close to everything we needed."

"Conveniently located within walking distance of the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The hotel is beautiful and clean. The valet, bellhop, and maid service people were especially courteous and attentive. Check-in was average; checkout person was rude. We had trouble sleeping because the bed was too soft. I think the mattress has seen better days. The room refrigerator was completely packed with in-room drinks. There was no room for us to put in our own water, snacks, or leftovers."
