"I loved this hotel, it was in a very convenient location with train and buses close to the door and nice restaurants nearby. I enjoyed the 5k run from the hotel to the harbour as suggested on the wellness page of the hotels website. Only downside was being woken by a fire alarm which was a human announcement in my room - for a brief moment in my half asleep state I thought the person was in the room with me but it was just a tannoy announcement!"

Even though I selected ‘free parking’ in my search options, it wasn’t until check in that I was informed that parking was a considerable extra cost per night. This was an extra expense that was not budgeted for, causing me to locate more affordable parking that was an inconvenient distance from the accommodation. There were no free street parking options during the weekdays, and limited on weekends. If this information was made...

"Lovely welcoming attentive staff, great breakfast and spacious room. Nice pool too. I gave four stars instead of five because our room had aircon issues so we were cold the whole time. The tech came but it was a bit of a ‘wait and see’ situation and by the time we got in after our night out, we were too tired to request changing rooms."

"We really appreciated the restoration work here - they’ve kept the heritage feel of the hotel intact without making it feel dated. Despite being above a pub and right on a main road, the rooms were surprisingly quiet. Great location for exploring North Sydney. The common room and kitchen was a lovely surprise. The complimentary breakfast was a nice bonus that made mornings easy."

"maybe it s all in black, that s why I get to see more dust with my eyes.. but dust everywhere. and I doubt cleaners can clean thoroughly as the lights in the room is a bit deemed out. shower head was broken, so could not fix the head, I had to use backwall to fix it... "
