"We were lucky with the weather and had a drink on the pleasant outside terrace before supper. Perfect location for site seeing in Ely. Private parking , although off site , is very welcome as no parking in town. All was good."

"Would love to be able to give a higher rating because there is lots of amenities in room the staff were friendly room serviced daily free WiFi lovely big garden birds and trees and in a great position to explore Ely. It was quiet and dark. Unfortunately the place stinks of stale cigarettes which as a non smoker with heart and lung conditions is very off-putting and means I wouldn't stay here again. The room was very dusty with questionable stains on the carpet and linen and yellowing paintwork....

"The room was clean, the bed comfortable. The walls are thin so sound from adjoining rooms is audible but my sleep was not disturbed. The toilet does not have a good flush. The bathroom was clean, warm. The shower was excellent and the towels soft and luxuriant. I liked the option of a bath but didn't use it. The staff were attentive, cheerful, helpful. Breakfast was good and was substantial. Evening meal on one night was excellent but not so good on the other."

"The property is at a very calm place and has been running since 1650 which is amazing fact. The room I’ve stayed in was a attic converted into a room. The room and bed was good but felt a old smell which needs made it feel that it needs a room freshner across the rooms and houses. There was good and spacious car park and within 10-15 min drive from lot of English heritage sites. I would like to see a bottled water in rooms along with towels as it felt wrong to grab water from sink. The staff...

"The hotel was lovely very nice room and spa facilities were good. Pool a bit small but perfect for a dip. Unfortunately the music from the reception area was booming all day and night so I got little to no sleep. Very disappointing when on a business trip and needing to be well rested the next day. By 11.30 pm I went to reception and asked them to turn it down. Originally I had thought it was some kind of disco from the restaurant it was so loud! The guy behind the counter was apologetic and...

"We booked a twin room that was very large. It was clean and the beds comfortable. The room and hotel could do with a bit of TLC but reflected the price which was really reasonable. It even included breakfast which was an unexpected bonus 😄 Staff were pleasant and very helpful"
