Friendly and Helpful staff, hotel building is slightly aged but is being renovated and is recovering from recent downturn in business from COVID. Standard of Hotel is acceptable, it's 10 mins walking distance from large shopping centre and various outlets, plus local restaurant and tea houses close by within 5 minutes walk. Staff are genrally very friendly and welcoming, and keen to address any issues when brought to their attention. Hotel is also used for conferences and meetings. Reasonable rates and value.

The cleanliness of the room especially the toilet need to be improved. I got shoe footsteps in the bathtub which obviously was not clean properly before we check-in. Indeed the room requires to refurbish, and the pool needs proper maintenance too. However, the breakfast is superb. Husband and I really love the food served.

Old hotel not worth price paid
Overall I think this hotel does not deserve a 4-star rating, maybe 3, or even 2 Firstly, the first room I checked in smelled of stale air and wet carpets, I requested to change rooms and was allowed another room on another floor. This room although did not smell bad, but smelled really old instead. The toilets were dirty, with mold everywhere, especially the bath curtain, really disgusting. Furniture in the room also already broken and not fixed. Overall, not worth the price charged, although the breakfast was good.
