"The room was clean and the shower was really hot.Lots of choice on the buffet table. The cooked breakfast was freshly made and hot. Parking was excellent. Danielle was very friendly and made you feel welcome. As did Tarquin.The lady who brought the breakfast was happy to have a little chat when she was serving you. I would definitely recommend this hotel and be happy to stay again. Thankyou to all."

"This is such a lovely hotel, we had a twin room on the top floor. The room was clean and comfortable and had a lot of charm. We had breakfast twice and there is plenty to choose from the menu. We also had an evening meal, the prawn cocktail was delicious and they are not shy on the prawns it seemed endless and very fulfilling,followed by salmon and potatoes that was cooked perfectly. The staff were so nice and helpful and nothing was to much .The property itself is a 15 min walk from the train...

"A very nice little flat 10 minutes walk away from the city centre. Lovely thick carpets. The main bedroom is very nice indeed. Comfortable bed. Effective fan provided which was a godsend during hot weather. Kids bedroom was nice too and they loved the bunk bed set up, which was solid. There is outdoor space however it is shared and a small shadowy courtyard. Doesn't look used at all. The flat is a funny layout. "The hotel was well-situated in the centre of York. The staff were very welcoming and efficient. There were a few small cobwebs around the base of some of the room furniture and the shower room had a stale smell on arrival, which could be associated with the shower not being used, or if the water in the shower trap is siphoned out by water flow from other showers."

"This was the ideal room for a family city break. The staff were friendly and accommodating and helpful with restaurant recommendations. The hotel is a short walk from the city centre, so we didn’t need to use the car at all for the duration of our stay."

"Was disappointed to find that there was no available gym in the hotel, even though it is advertised as such. The sofa bed in the room was broken, as was the air-conditioning. Staff attempted to fix it but didn’t make a difference. When we visited, there was a pile of mattresses sitting in the lobby. Surely there’s a better way to manage this. We shared our complaints with staff at the hotel but they showed little interest so I hope management will take note "

"Très pratique à 10 min du centre de York à pieds. Hôtel immense, mais service impeccable, petit déjeuner complet. Pour se garer, demander le QR code pour le parking près de Starbucks à 5 min à pieds. Beaucoup moins cher que celui de l'hôtel. "

"The room was lovely, clean and a decent size. The twin beds were like two small double beds, which was amazing, I hate sleeping in a single bed!! Breakfast was buffet style and had a really good selection, the only downside was you couldn’t get a proper cup of tea! The water came out a multi drink machine, so the tea ended up looking frothy (not nice). That aside, we had a lovely stay and will definitely stay again. "
