"Clean and pretty large room, and the price is expensive but very reasonable for summer season in St. Helena, where most places are in the $600-800 range, and this one almost half. Liked that it wasn’t “corporate”. The grounds are kept pretty nice. Also liked that it was pet friendly… easy a nice places to walk your pup around the hotel too. Peaceful spot overall and literally next to some of the world’s best restaurants and vineyards."

"The check in staff was very friendly. The room I was originally assigned smelled like smoke, apparently the last guest missed the memo about no smoking in the rooms, the front desk receptionist was very efficient about moving me quickly to a very clean room that I was happy with. Breakfast was make your own waffles, I love that, along with choice of OJ or apple juice, coffee or tea, yogurt and cereal. Good way to start the day, nice it was included. "

"Great staff, beautifully maintained all around. But it’s lipstick on a pig…. The beds are not comfortable which I believe had a lot to do with the fluffy pillows that flatten within a minute of laying on them.
