"Yeah even with motel level standards this was probably the WORST motel I’ve stayed in. Front desk was completely lackluster, which pretty much describes the front office AND the employees. If that wasn’t a red flag in itself, the rooms were DIRTY. Stains on walls, chipping paint etc…The bed was at least clean though. And there was a lady singing in her room all night."

"Very small room, cluttered property, many used furniture or equipment just dumped in the corners of property. No housekeeping service to take out trash or clean the room or provide fresh towels. Guest was provided with a plunger to fix the toilet on own."

"Nice large room with a king bed. The breakfast had lots of choices for hot and cold meals. The room was clean and comfortable. Only problem was no free WiFi. It made you sign up for the Hilton program and go through a bunch of screens on your phone. I couldn’t get it working and gave up eventually."

"Great place to stay. Reasonable rates, clean tidy rooms, nice pool,sauna and hot tub. My feeling is I would rather spend my money seeing and experiencing the area I'm visiting. Basically I'm using a hotel to sleep shower and change. I don't need to spend $700 a night for amenities I'm not going to use. I came to Napa to see Napa, not a hotel! The El Bonita fit my bill perfectly!! Highly recommended!"

"This property has really hone downhill since we we were here last year. Broken stasher, broken ice machine, broken pancake maker. Still broken 3 days later. Front desk staff kept making excuses. Housekeeping & kitchen staff were excellent. They made the stay Having been loyal customers for at least 25 years not sure we will stay here again"

"We had a great stay at this hotel in Novato. The room was spacious and had everything we needed to feel comfortable. Housekeeping came every other day, which worked perfectly for us and kept everything clean and tidy. The free breakfast was excellent, with plenty of options to choose from, and the staff was always nearby to refill items and make sure guests had everything they needed. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful. If we come back to Novato, we will definitely stay here...

"Room was damp and was not what was advertised online Booked for 2 night stay but just needed one and owner not willing to compromise charges Charged and extra 140$ that was not clarified nor returned Gina (staff) said she would talk to the owner and asked me to call back to speak to owner but never received call She also was very defensive and hostile in her tone when discussing a possible refund for just one night "
