Tyne and Wear Hotels with indoor pool

"The room was clean, secure with controllable heating and there was a safe and iron in the room. There was no fridge in the room, but I was able to keep my drink cold for the morning in the sink filled with cold water. I was able to work on a table at the bar and the friendly staff kept me going with refreshments. It was a shame that Room Service stopped serving on Saturday evening at 11pm. I didn't get back from my meetings until late and I was pretty hungry. Otherwise, this is an excellent and fully recommended hotel. I have stayed here many times and it will continue to be my choice of hotel when visiting Newcastle (although technically the hotel is in Gateshead)."

"Parking good Breakfast option-overpriced and nothing freshly cooked Would avoid weekends if a wedding party was on as very noisy in hotel rooms adjoining. Restaurant ok but substituted by a meetings room on one day of our visit which was like a mausoleum Heating good to start with but a cold spell whilst there and cold on mornings and evenings Accessibility good - no stairs to speak -there’s a lift as well Staff so so some ok -some less so Wouldn’t stay there again"

"We stayed at The Tynemouth Castle Hotel for 2 nights. Everything was excellent. Right on the seafront in a perfect location 15 mi n walk to Tynemouth front street and 15 min walk to Cullercoats in the opposite direction. The hotel is beautiful. Great rooms and breakfast. The staff are all friendly & helpful. Free parking is an added bonus. We will definitely return."

"We started off having a drink in the sports bar..booked into our room which was small but very clean..booked a table for evening meal.the food was absolutely lovely.the staff was so friendly and easy to talk to..breakfast was really nice .. a very nice stay comfy bed ..will be booking back up "
