"I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel! Everything was as pictured online and even better in person. The room was very clean! The shower had excellent water pressure! The AC worked very well which is huge when staying in the New Orleans area during a heat wave! The pantry in the lobby was well stocked. They accommodated us with extra towels when requested. "I am not really sure why the reviews here so poorly match the state of the hotel. It’s run down and a more than a bit grubby. The staff are lovely and helpful and do their best to take care of you but it doesn’t really make up for the fact that the hotel needs some serious upkeep. "

"The service at the hotel was excellent. The employees went above and beyond to help you and make you feel welcome. Caleb the door man was exceptional. I’m not sure what a destination fee is ($25/nt), but there was no resort fee, which is what most other hotels charge. Overall a great experience right in the heart of the French quarter."
