According to Expedia, I’ve stayed at over 35 properties throughout the Americas, and I can say with all my heart that the New Orleans Marriott has the best staff members I’ve ever encountered.
Ms. Jerkyra (I hope I’m spelling her name correctly) checked us in, and she truly set the tone for our entire stay. She greeted us with the warmest smile, reconfirmed all the details of our reservation, and took her time walking us through every perk of the property. She explained the complimentary tour available at the Sazerac House, shared details about credits we could use with the concierge toward booking excursions, and gave us a full lay of the property. It never felt rushed — just genuine hospitality at its finest.
I had originally booked a standard king room, but at check-in we were upgraded to a river-view room on the 35th floor. The views were stunning! To top it off, the culinary staff surprised us with chocolate-covered strawberries and a bottle of prosecco — such a thoughtful and unexpected touch.
The property itself was beautiful and impeccably maintained — not a single piece of trash in sight. The location couldn’t be better. It’s within walking distance of what feels like hundreds of restaurants and bars, and just about a four-minute “skip and a bop” to Bourbon Street.
I’m already planning my next trip to NOLA, and I will absolutely be staying at the New Orleans Marriott again. Such a pleasant, memorable experience from start to finish!
