"Great staff, food was great, room was perfect fit. There was tons of wild life on the resort! Lots of activities and things to explore on the resort. Never a huge line up for anything. Great jungle vibes! The map is deceiving gives you the impression everything is far away but only take 5mins to walk from one end to the other. "

If you are looking for peace, privacy, decent à la carte food (no buffet), and wonderful, attentive staff, then this hotel is definitely for you. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and surrounded by lush greenery. You literally live in the middle of the jungle — among palm trees, vines, and many interesting animals that do not disturb you at all, so there is no need to be afraid....

"My husband and I had an outstanding stay at the Viceroy in Riveria Maya...incredible service at the highest level, quiet, peaceful and was the perfect place to unwind. I have traveled around the world and have stayed at all of the top resorts, including the Four Seasons, Auberge, Ritz Carlton, The Peninsula, Ranch at Rock Creek, etc. I cannot say enough about the staff and how they made us feel. Their outlook on life and how they love this property is something that I have never witnessed...

"Room layout was perfect for a family of 6. The resort was immaculate, staff were very friendly and food was superb. There are tons of activities for all ages, plenty of pools to cool off and a decent sized beach, despite erosion issues. The rental shop is well equipped with sports equipment, decently equipped fitness centre and we would highly recommend booking a tour with Jesus onsite at the resort. Seamless vacation, would book there again in a heartbeat! "

"We had a great vacation during Christmas 2025 at Viva Maya.
Large buffet with lots of different options, and when the buffet was closed they have a kitchen by the pool.
Make sure to make reservations for the A La Carte restaurants right when you arrive for the rest of your stay, you will not get in same day or even 1 day before. The mexican restaurant and staff there were so much fun.
The staff that stood out for us were Jose Luis at Cafe Maya, which has the best coffee, frappes, and...
