"A very good location with comfortable rooms. It’s listed as a 4* hotel but it operates like a 3*. The dining room staff were mediocre (eating greasy food and coughing while we were paying our bill at the counter; no decaf at breakfast; the buffet “ok.”.). We stayed 3 nights and our room key needed daily charging which was annoying. There are no bathroom amenities and that room needed refurbishing. But the beds were comfortable, the room clean."

"Great hotel. We were so happy to have experienced this town and historic lodge. It was uncommonly warm and thus without a/c it was hot in the room but the staff found some fans. This place is a must see."

"This was my 3rd stay at The City Hotel. It has always been perfect for location, staff and food. Unfortunately this time it was undergoing renovations and the place is a little dishevelled and dusty. But will return in the future when the work has been completed."

"The check in staff was very friendly and even upgraded us to a suite. This was lovely after staying in hotels for almost 2 weeks all over Ireland. Very clean and super comfortable beds. Highly recommend!"

"The room was nice. We had a king size bed (American sized) and a fold out hide a bed (bigger than a twin American, but smaller than a double) for our child to sleep in. They advertise that there’s more than one restaurant, but there’s only one. The food was average, nothing special, but also you know just pretty satisfactory. Also, it’s not really located in the heart of things. It’s definitely on the outskirts so getting an Uber took a while.
I’d say stay here if you want a nice comfortable...
