"Jamie is excellent in front of house Sergio works hard in the bar & his banter makes for a jovial relaxed atmosphere. Special thanks to him for recommending a tasty wine. I loved the fabrics & furnishings in my bedroom & I valued the choice of books to read. A much appreciated nice addition. Staff are brilliant & the environment is warm & friendly."

"Akshae was wonderful at check-in. V friendly and helpful. The second chap sorry i don't know his name was excellent when the room wouldn't open. No hair dryer or plug sockets nr the bed. Sheets just lie on the bed. Not fitted. Team lovely. Location great. Tried to call 3 times before stay but no pick up or ability to leave a call back message. "

"So glad to have discovered this place- off the main roads. The whole experience was great- staff were lovely, dogs were made welcome too! Like stepping into an Agatha Christie movie, beautiful furnishings of an era in history. The grounds were well maintained and we loved the Monet Garden - with deer resting near the pond, all very magical. Definitely worth an annual visit "

"Wonderful stay in a magnificent historic building with friendly staff, fantastic views and great food. Our room had a view of the forest where we saw deer & rabbits wandering by. We had great food, both casual and formal dining. The location is truly buried in the forest, peaceful and great for walking. A true sanctuary get away."

"Very small car park and was a problem on arrival , no spaces . Is sorted by staff but does seem a constant problem. Will definitely go back , views amazing, spa lovely, come home feeling totally relaxed "
