"Location, also the staff, all good"

"Small indoor pool that smelled overloaded with chlorine. A/C wasn't working and hotel sent us a box fan that was so noisy you couldn't watch tv or sleep. Construction noise was very loud and woke us up every morning by 8 o'clock clock. Room also was right over the trash bins so more noise with that. Bar was out of Chardonnay so was given an inferior white which cost us $12 per glass including tax. A little over the top with that price for not very good wine. "No closet to hang clothes. Need instructions on how to use the tv. Had 2 remotes and no explanation as to what to do with them. Manage to turn it on but difficulty in finding a channel. Eventually just turned it off. Rooms had wooden floors so can hear the occupant next door move the desk chair. Load scraping noise across the floor each time they moved. "The resort was very nice, and the restaurant was very good, selling local oysters. The place is also very quiet. We had almost no interactions with staff and the check-in was through an envelope left for us at the closed office. The pool was closed and there is no hot tub. The place is very remote but great for exploring Point Reyes."

But the teeny room and layout is all motel. You can hear everyone outside your window since the front door opens directly to the cars. "Super cool property located in town. The renovation details of the lodge is very upscale. Lots of great amenities; comfy bed; great kitchenette, cool bathroom decor. Good communication from staff and property kept very clean. Great spot to enjoy weekend getaway. Traffic can be busy during the day but everyone is very friendly on the roads to the beach."
