"Rooms are dated but bed was extremely comfortable, especially after a long day on your feet. Kitchenette was a handy feature, I wish there was bags for the ice from the ice machine but it is Vancouver so single use plastics is not anywhere to be found. Last two nights our garbage was not taken."

"This was the third time staying here and there wont be a Fourth. Being put on the 1st floor AT THE BUSIEST Part of the Hotel In Front Main Street??... and seems the Hotel was managed allot better than it is now. I was born and raised in Victoria so will make sure a advise my friends to Suggest another location to their guests when coming to visit. We thought we had a For Sure spot here but apparently the world is changing everywhere, and for the AMOUNT paid, Was Expecting A Stay At The Same Level But Far From It. Cheers."

"Definitely needs updating. Although the staff was friendly and our room was clean, everything in this hotel is small and difficult to maneuver with luggage, using elevator, etc. The espresso machine was kept well-stocked with water, cartridges and cream. The cafe (Elysian?) is excellent; however, I would not stay there again."

"The hotel itself was very clean and the staff were great. However things took a bit of a turn as we got to the corridor that our room was on. It was hot in the hallway and when we entered the room it was like a sauna. The thermostat could only be turned down to 20C so we cooked the rest of the night. The room itself was nice. Very clean and comfortable. However we didn’t get a great sleep due to the party that someone decided to have that went until around 2:30am. I mentioned all of this at checkout but the staff didn’t seem overly concerned. All I got for a response was that it was the weekend. Well I was travelling and getting on a early flight, and at $270 a night I’d like a little quite!"
