"Clean & comfortable bed. Bathroom outdated but clean. Air conditioner worked great and kept the room cool while it was +30c outside. As mentioned in other reviews, visible homelessness in the area however they didn’t loiter about the hotel property and didn’t cause us any problem. It’s a good place to stay for the night if you’re passing through and need something economical."

"Very friendly and kind staff. Keep in mind you get what you pay for. The room was old looking, but it was clean. The cars passing on the highway might keep you up at night. Good thing about the location is that it's very close to the departure bay ferry point. Overall, it was fine for me as I just needed a cheap room to crash for two nights! :)"

"Great property because it's clean and large rooms (I did get 2 queen bedroom). Fairly close to harbor front. Breakfast was decent with eggs/cheese and sausages and the usual waffles, breads and cereals. I wish they had a hot tub and pool. It wasn't worth paying for balcony as there wasn't a good view. It's good for smokers I guess. I liked they had safe and iron in the room, fridge, and sink. I didn't like that the water didn't get hot and that we had to ask for towel replacement...

"This was a very last min stay and we were very happy with our stay. The hotel was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed for our stay."

"Your check in is done on the computer. We did the pre registration and paid and according to instructions waited to be sent info to access our room. (supposed to be sent room # and access code for digital lock). A half hour before check in (4pm) we had no instructions and no staff in front office. "The bedding had poop and blood stains and the brown girl at the desk double charged me. They don’t provide breakfast other then juice and coffee and yogurt and the rooms are dated and musty. I grew up in Duncan and moved to Ontario and travel for work but the standard this place had put the bar in hell and you have to limbo under it. 10/10 do not recommend."

"Great stay in the new renovated king suite. Amenities were nice with dry sauna, complementary laundry, pool and hot tub. Restaurant on site had great views, service and food . Walking distance to town with lots of food options - thank you! Would happily stay again"

"Compared to the price charged for rooms at the major downtown establishments the Port O'Call is a bargain. A comfortable bed, free standing a/c unit and big tv was all we needed. If the motel is fully booked be prepared to not have a parking spot onsite if you arrive later in the evening. However (and management has no control over this) be aware that Terminal Avenue seems to be a popular road for street racers with obnoxiously loud exhaust pipes, both cars and motorcycles.
