Evolution is a truly pretty, warm and very comfortable place to stay. Clean, tidy, well organised, with good (quality) food and drinks choice. Of course, the service is excellent as well. The dive base is run diligently and efficiently by a great staff. Personal "coup de coeur": this place is environmentally-friendly as much as possible... it is even difficult to spot it coming from the sea :) Hopefully, we'll come back one day.

We took our shoes off on arrival and put them back on only at departure. Beautiful place, great staff, and excellent diving. The sharks, wow!

Excellent hotel, restaurant and diving club.
Little piece of paradise on Malapascua island. Great room with everything you need, super friendly and helpful staff, good location, excellent restaurant with Both local and western food and last but not least, a super professional diving club. We had an amazing stay and could only recommend staying there. Really appreciated that there were no plastic bottles and that there was a conscious effort to preserve the environment.

This is not a hotel for family with kids. If you are on a diving trip, then this hotel probably will suit most if not all your needs. It’s a bit of a walk from where you dock, but the flip side is it’s far enough to feel secluded. The room we had was very clean and comfortable. Bonus is your steps away from the beach. Only warning ⚠️ is to ensure you have all your booking details with you as to not incur “other” charges. Staff hassled me for a few days but did the right thing in the end.

The resort is in a quiet location on Malapascua Island. The staffs are friendly and helpful. It’s a great location for families and couples to enjoy a serene vacation while diving at amazing dive sites near the island.

Incredibly lovely hotel and staff.

This hotel is very very quiet. I was always wondering if there is anyone staying:) But most people go diving so you dont see many people. This hotel with Malapascua Exotic Island Dive has the best beach, still I would recommend Malapascua Exotic Island Dive with a breakfast more. If you are looking for some more entertainment and more people go to Ocean Vida Beach and Dive Resort Malapascua 8 min walking.

Loved this place! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Several times throughout my stay they would call me by my name. I felt more at home here than most resorts at which I have stayed. My room was spacious and clean. The bed was my type of comfortable. I only had a couple meals at the restaurant because of the short stay but the food was great and the service excellent. Their dive center was very professionally run and I could not have asked for a better dive instructor. Over all, an incredible stay. I shall return.

"Beach view"actually overlooks overgrown wasteland
Felt slightly tricked on check-in. I was already on Malapascua (staying at another hotel) but saw the Evolution rooms on the beach and they looked nice. I checked Hotels.com and specifically booked a room that stated "balcony with beach view", which was also stated clearly on my confirmation email. However, on check-in, we were led to the back of the property to a separate building with additional rooms, where the balcony overlooked an overgrown area of wasteland. I showed the manager my booking but was repeated told "this is your room sir". It was a disappointing event that soured my stay because, to be honest, the room I was in was nice. Clean, comfortable bed, nice modern sink area outside of the bathroom. The balcony had nice furniture on it - although I never went out there since it wasn't a nice place to spend any time. However, to be clear - the room was good, and if it hadn't been mis-sold then I would have been happy. On the day I left, we were told that the waves had caused the local island ferry to stop running. Evolution used one of their boats to transport 7 tourists back to the mainland (PHP200 per person) which was very much appreciated; I am grateful to them for offering this service so that I could get to the airport for my flight. Overall - a nice place with nice rooms. But please Evolution - don't advertise 'beach view' rooms that don't have a beach view!

Comfortable and peaceful
Evolution is at the end of a long line of hotels so the beachfront area is more private and quiet than the rest. We loved this. The facilities are beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The rooms were cleaned everyday and were very comfortable. No wifi in the room but in the restaurant you could get a good connection. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay at evolution.

All about the Thresher Sharks
The five centre was excellent. Great kit, boats and staff. Thresher Shark dives were amazing. Very special experience. Accommodation was basic but it did the job. Only downside is the beachfront cottages face the pub and restaurant. Noise does stop by 11 at the latest.

Ett mysigt ställe med bra läge precis vid stranden. Rummet var funktionellt med ok balkong. Trevlig restaurant med god mat och trevlig service inriktad personal. Vi som inte dyker kan kanske känna sig lite malplacerade för de flesta bor här för dykningens skull. Finaste stranden för bad fanns på norra sidan ön men där fanns inga hotell. Vi var jättenöjda med vår vecka.

Mer än okej.
Perfekt om du är dykare eftersom de både har en av de bättre dykfirmorna och ett bra boende. Kan helt klart rekommendera detta ställe. Ska man vara lite petig så kan man tycka att i priset borde ingå åtminstone en kontinental frukost. Bra tryck i duschen, okej säng och min fru gillade att handfatet var i samma rum som sovrummet.

Toppen! Superfina rum, trevlig och hjälpsam personal, bra restaurang på hotellet! Vi var supernöjda. Dock kan man inte betala med kort i restaurangen så tänk på att ha med nog med kontanter (paypal fungerar), vi skulle exempelvis betala för tvätt som hi lämnat in och transfer hem.. I restaurangen kan man betala med kort.

Bästa stället på ön
Riktigt bra boende med bra service och ett riktigt bra dykcenter. Bodde några nätter i rum med fläkt och en natt i rum med ac. Båda rummen var fina och i bra skick. Restaurangen var även den riktigt bra med god mat och trevlig personal. Bokat lätt på evulotion vid nästa besök på malapascua.

This is an excellent place if you are ok with a simple but perfectly clean room. The dive center is great and the restaurant serves excellent food. The staff in general is great at this place.

Jeg elskede Evolution og Malapsqua. Hotellet var et rigtigt diversted med en virkelig afslappet og meget hyggelig atmosphære bygget op omkring dykning og afslapning. Alt var fantastisk. Jeg tror det var det aller bedste hotel på øen! Dykkerinstruktørerne var virkelig søde og dygtige, og personalet generelt meget hjælpsomme og kunne huskeliste navne. Selve øen er lille og stedet hvor hotellet ligger er skønt. Der er ikke andet at lave end at svømme/dykke/slappe af, og er man gearet til det, er det vidunderligt. Det tager dog 3-4 stive timer med bjergkørsel fra Cebu lufthavn til havnen hvorfra skibene sejler til malapasqua, som man må tage med. Vi havde dyr, privat transport via hotellet, som vi var glade for og det var helt problemfrit.

A budget choice for diving accommodation
We stayed in budget room with only floor fan. I have to admit that it was quite hot and swetty at night. So if you have the extra buck with you, consider upgrading to room with AC. We came to Malapascua to dive, so we were more eager to spend our money on diving rather than expensive rooms and Evolution suited that well. The staff were friendly and food at hotel's restaurant ok.
